So Like Us: Monkeys Hate Admitting Errors, Too - economist.com

The endowment effect, an effort to resolve cognitive dissonance - to neutralise the conflict between the knowledge that you've chosen one thing and the idea that another thing might be preferable. Why should monkeys, or people for that matter, evolve such behaviour?

Video: The Paradox of Choice - Why More Is Less - video.google.ca

Modern life gives us too many choices. Instead of making us happier they seem to make us miserable. This video is a recording of lecture and is rather long (more than 1 hour). However, if you have time it is definitely worth every minute. It is very contra-intuitive and thought provoking.

Executives decided to see how fast they could run a mile and if they could do it in less than six minutes. Book: "Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins - books.google.com

This book has changed my life. About ten years ago I wasn't doing so great in my life. My life was quite miserable and so many things were going plain wrong. I also was a student at that time and had very little money. So, when I bought the book, I had to pay for it nearly 30% of all the money that I had available to me (I still kepp the receipt as a souvenir). But that book was worth each penny. I still keep it and read parts of it from time to time finding new things that I have not noticed before.
