People are too materialistic these days. Having more money is more important than having friends, family, etc. Look at the levels of social isolation and compare them to the material things that people have and value. Relationship is considered not valuable in comparison to having a bank account, a house or a big car. This could be another “disease of civilization”. People should realize what their real values are in life if they want to be happy.
