All work and no play can make anybody sick. Goof off by yourself, spend time playing with family and friends. Find something you like outside work and start a hobby to enjoy in your free time. This will reset your mind, charge your body and make you healthier.


Take a Break

Have you’ve been working too hard recently?  Do you feel overwhelmed a little?  Or is it a lot?

We regularly clean our houses and cars and offices and garages (at least most of the time).  But isn’t it true that we also need to clean our minds once in while?  Inner clutter might not be so obvious but it clogs our lives if we let it to do so.

There is a story about a Zen student that wanted to learn from a master.  The student was so preoccupied with own thoughts and ideas that and was just too busy to absorb anything new.  To teach a lesson the master served tea, and kept pouring it into student’s cup even after it was full.  It overflew onto the table, the pupil got nervous and told the master that the cup was full and it can not absorb any more tea.  The master answered: “so is your mind”.





When we feel overwhelmed, instead of trying to squeeze even more into our mind it’s good to take a metal break.  Even for a short period of time.

Doing ‘nothing’ even for 5-10 minutes is not as simple as it sounds.  Initially we tend to have a lot of thoughts crossing our mind.  But after a while if we stay 'still' stay the ‘dust’ settles down we begin to see things more clearly.  If we do this often, our lives start to change in a good way.  As the famous quote from Mahatma Gandhi goes: “There is more to life than increasing its speed.”  So, if you feel like you are too busy to take a break right now, just take a break and see what happens.
